HS Choir Final Exam




The Final Exam for HS Choir will be administered on Wednesday, May 23 from 9:50am-11:20am. The Exam is 215 points worth 1/7 of each student's semester grade. Students taking the exam should report to the HS Choir room first (see the attendance list below for a list of students required to take the exam.) Then, as a group, we will walk down to lab M11 so the entire exam can be taken via Canvas. Those who need questions read aloud may ask Mr. Leslie for assistance or request to take their exam via computer in resource.

ATTENDANCE LIST & EXAM POLICY

Section I – Treble Clef Note Identification (1-20)

Directions: Identify the following pitches and fill in the blank. REMEMBER TO TYPE ACCIDENTALS IF APPROPRIATE - Use # for sharp and a lowercase b for flat. (2 points each)

Section II – Bass Clef Note Identification (21-40)

Directions: Identify the following pitches and fill in the blank – REMEMBER TO TYPE ACCIDENTALS IF APPROPRIATE -Use # for sharp and a lowercase b for flat. (2 points each)

Section III – IPA English Diction Identification (41-60)

Directions: Select the correct transcription (IPA or Orthographic) for each English word. (2 points each)

Section IV – Major Key Signatures (61-68)

Directions: Identify the Major Key for each Key Signature. You do NOT have to type the word “Major” each time. REMEMBER TO TYPE ACCIDENTALS IF APPROPRIATE - Use # for sharp and a lowercase b for flat. (5 points each)

Section V – Rhythmic Literacy and Counting (69-75)

Directions: Select the correct counting of the rhythm. Place the counting of rests in parentheses. (5 points each)

Section VI – True/False Performance Questions (76-85)

Directions: Read each statement and select whether it is “True” or “False.” (2 points each)
