Circle the State With Song
March 3, 2018
Jasper Middle School
**required, graded event for Jr. High**
ATTIRE
Students should wear khaki pants and any closed toed shoes with no distracting jewelry or hair accessories. They may wear any shirt of their choice since we will change into the official blue CSWS shirts after we arrive at Jasper Middle School.
CD/DVD/PICTURE ORDERS
Mr. Knight will be taking several photos and recordings throughout the day and posting to our social media accounts. Parents may order the professional CD, DVD, or MP3 of the Festival. You can also purchase the Professional Picture of the Festival. If you intend to purchase, please complete the order form(s) and submit this to Mr. Knight with payment before we leave at 6:45am CST on Saturday. You can also purchase these items online or at Jasper, but the line may be longer. Please make all checks to the appropriate company listed on the attached order form(s).
CHAPERONES
The following parents have contacted Mr. Knight to chaperone: Julie Newton, Kori Stroud, Steven Bell, Missy Singer, and Matt Singer. If your name is missing, please email Mr. Knight as soon as possible. Chaperone tasks include: collecting lunches, monitoring the bus, supervising students, passing out t-shirts, monitoring our homeroom, passing out programs, collecting tickets, etc. Chaperones may also order lunch from the local bistro, "Bread & Butter." If you are a chaperone, please email your order to Mr. Knight by Wednesday morning at 9:00 am.
COST
The cost of this event is being paid from our Choir Fund at school, so students will not be charged directly. If you have NOT made any contributions or fundraising efforts this year, we ask that you pay the $27 registration fee to NPJHS. If you HAVE fund-raised or contributed, no payment is necessary. No students will be penalized for an inability to pay – all students will attend. This is a required and important educational event, but we cannot go if we don’t have the funds. Any contributions will go directly to your child’s $150 annual fundraising goal. Please contact Mr. Knight if you have questions.
HOMEROOMS
Students will be able to put their belongings in our homeroom. These rooms will not be locked, so I would like to rotate chaperone supervision in our homeroom all day. Phones should be kept off and in the homeroom.
LUNCH
A snack will be provided to all students at the festival. Students must bring their own sack lunch clearly marked with their name and school – please NO soft drinks. Mr. Knight will have coolers Saturday morning. Chaperones may order from a local restaurant menu provided by Mr. Knight (more details soon).
MUSIC
Students need to take their binder home on Friday. They will need their black music binder and a pencil with all seven CSWS pieces inside. Measures should be numbers in each piece.

I may have some extra tickets for students that didn’t get any or for those who need extras...
VIRTUAL LEARNING (E-LEARNING)
Saturday, March 3 is listed as a Virtual Learning Day in MSD North Posey to make-up for snow. Students are responsible for all VLD assignments and will not be excused for attending this event. No students will be excused from attending CSWS to complete e-learning. Students have 5 days to complete e-learning assignments.
Please turn in the permission slip by Thursday, March 1 so I know if you are riding the bus. Students may ride with their parents. Contact Mr. Knight with any questions. Thank you!
