Concert Choir, Treble Chorus, Tenor/Baritone Chorus, Voice Studio
Under the direction of Ms. Victoria Schaefer, both the Jr. High and High School Choirs are high-achieving ensembles that perform a variety of choral repertoire throughout the year. Jr. High Choir has daily rehearsal during 4th period. We focus on vocal technique and introductory-level musicianship skills including aural skills and music literacy.
The High School Concert Choir is an elite group of musicians who continue to develop vocal technique and advanced musicianship skills in high school. Concert Choir students explore IPA diction, music theory, aural skills, and music history during their study of choral repertory. High School students are required to participate in Solo & Ensemble: they may take voice lessons with Ms. Schaefer to prepare a solo and/or participate in one of the after-school ensembles (Tenor/Baritone or Treble Chorus).
Victoria Schaefer
Victoria Schaefer is the Director of Vocal Music and Theatre at MSD North Posey and began teaching here in 2019. In addition to directing the choirs at the high school and the junior high school, Ms. Schaefer also teaches 8th Grade General Music. Ms. Schaefer earned her Bachelor of Music Education degree from Murray State University in Murray, KY.

The NPPA is proud to support all the performing arts organizations at North Posey. We need your help to provide opportunities for our kids! Choir students are asked to fundraise each year to help pay for music, registration fees, travel, uniforms, and much more.
